This is for clients WITH SSI

To qualify, you must be eligible for Medicaid and:

(The Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program)

This is for clients WITHOUT SSI

To qualify, you must be eligible for Medicaid and:

Be at least 65 years old (or, if younger than 65, meet certain disability requirements),
Be impaired by physical limitations,
Choose to receive services in your home instead of a nursing home/rehab facility, and
Participate in only one waiver program at a time.

(New Option Waiver Program (NOW) and Comprehensive Support Waiver Program (COMP))

To qualify for NOW and COMP, you must already be eligible for Medicaid and:

Have a diagnosis of an intellectual disability prior to age 18 and/or a closely related developmental disability, such as severe forms of cerebral palsy, epilepsy, or autism prior to age 22;
Have significant deficits in adaptive functioning in specific areas; and
Require the level of care provided in an intermediate-care facility for people with intellectual disabilities.
